Rubin Software Inc. has been building and integrating custom software for businesses since 1980. I’m Paul Rubin, a practical software architect who turns underperforming systems into dependable operations, by converting strategic goals into a plan a team can carry out.

I’ve done this across many industries, teams, countries and time zones, usually by working directly in the code alongside the people who own it. The goal is lower costs and better efficiency that last after I’ve left.

I take on consulting work selectively, for the right opportunity. Often I do the work myself. When a job calls for other skills or more hands, I bring in contractors and manage the work.
